Lin had a mostly normal childhood, though his father was absent from a young age. He's the eldest of three and spoils his younger twin sisters every chance he gets; they're the one who gave him the nickname "Lin" when they first started talking.
He moonlights as a bartender at a somewhat popular club and claims it to be his full-time gig despite only working there on the weekends. For the most part, he spends most of his time through the weeks running errands for the ADF (Anti-supernatural Defense Force)* and gathering information on those anyone who might stop in or frequent his other place of work. He doesn't like working for the ADF, but it pays well and that's all that really matters. Lin also expends more effort than necessary dodging random ADF members since they're always trying to convince him to join despite his lack of profitable skills.
Unknown to him is the fact that his father had once worked with the ADF and vanished after leaving him in the hands of his mother. Also unbeknownst to him are his own abilities and where they came from. (His "father" had taken him from the experimental labs of the ADF and hid him away with the other person he could trust, though it still doesn't explain why he's so valuable to the ADF.)
Notes: setting can be described as current modern earth with the existence of supernatural beings integrated throughout as a more accepted norm in certain parts of the world. Differences include smaller wars pitted against witches, vampires, lycans, and other supernaturals. The largest is known as the Divide that resulted in the separations of covens and clans, scattering numbers of supernaturals and killing just as many. *The introduction of the ADF came about shortly after, though its original manifesto is now corrupt. All ADF dress entirely in black with a white insignia on the shoulder, earning them the nickname "Marks" as it's a perfect target to aim for when trying to kill them.
